When at Ikea….

….it’s the law (apparently)

So, today we braved it into ikea. I know, school holiday horror story and all that #rollseyes but needs must.

We needed a few things for our ongoing ‘sort the house out’ project before we could complete some stuff, so off we went.

Not surprisingly, the place was rammed with kids, mostly unhappy whining kids who, quite understandably, did not want to be there (and were letting everyone know) and others who were bouncing off the walls like multiple feral versions of the Brady bunch - and mostly parents who clearly didn’t give a stuff.

It didn’t take me long to reach the very irritated ‘I can’t hear myself b****y think’ stage, such was the level of mayhem so I deployed my new secret weapon - my loop earbuds. They take the noise down by about 24 decibels, which makes it so much more bearable. And breeeeaaathe :-)

Anyway, mission accomplished, filled the car with our stash and as we were both hungry, popped back for some food.

First time we’ve ever tried the famous meatballs and they were pretty tasty!
