Trailing Leg

Lucky shot, as I caught the heron taking off from the lake. It was standing chest deep by the reeds. Obviously not a fruitful hunting spot, he must have decided to try elsewhere. I got one more shot as he flew across the lake. I liked the water splash as his feet left the water.
