I Used To Be An Acorn

My wife went to visit her dad in his care home today 

He has had a bit of a scare, but thankfully he is OK after a short stay in hospital..

He wept with relief when he got back to the home, that is how much he loves it 

I went with her and took Hollie for a long walk around Springfield Lane and Oaken Park, we have blipped from here many times before. Having lived in the area  from childhood it is our old stomping ground.

This huge old Oak tree is a survivor, one half is rotten and fell many years ago, the other half is thriving and very healthy.

Back home for a pleasant evening in front of TV, watching Karen Pirie and thoroughly enjoying the first series.

Also, looking forward with great excitement to the serialisation on Netflix of The Thursday Murder Club.

Having read all the books by Richard Osman, we have high hopes for the small screen adaptation

I hope we are not disappointed..
