Long but good day in company of other CHA walkers - left home at 8.15 am and returned at 8.45pm - caught coach to  North Yorkshire Moors - walked across moorland from Ellerbeck Bridge to have lunch by Simon  Howe cairn - main blip - which had handy direct directional sign to Goathland our final destination - we took the scenic route - going through woodland -passing Mallyan  Spout waterfall - on route to Beck Hole where the smallest pub I’ve ever been in was visited  - refreshments served through a hatch - only four indoor tables but big beer garden - before walking along old railway line to Goathland - were TV series Heartbeat was filmed
