A day in the life

Felled tree

I spent the morning learning new things. Yesterday I used my landlords chainsaw to saw the larger branches of the felled tree but the chain loosened and fell of twice. I didn't understand why and it seemed far to risky using a thing like that with too little knowledge. I was lucky nothing happened to me. This morning I watched videos on how to handle the saw-chain in detail, went to work and fixed the problem from yesterday. Before using it I showed it to my landlord who tested it an said it was working as it should. An hour later, nearly all of the thick branches and the trunk was cut into smaller pieces, when the saw-chain got dull and needs changing. Next week I can complete the job but I felt quite proud of the work I'd done so far.

I had lunch at the harbour area and got some bread from the excellent bakery there. On my way to the ice cream shop I sneezed because of the sun in my eyes and at the same time  I tripped over an edge and fell, like a tree. My right hand took the blow and I rolled round following the momentum which I've learned to do. After the fall I felt fine apart from a bruised knee but half an hour later my right wrist is hurting when I put pressure to it and it affects how I use the hand. Not good, hope nothing isn't broken in there. If it's bad tomorrow I'll have a doctor to look at it.
