Speckled Wood.

I saw another butterfly that I had not seen before today. The book says it is a Speckled Wood, not because it likes sitting on a piece of wood but because it prefers woodland habitat. It also likes sitting on apples. It was obliging enough to stay while I fetched a camera. A few quick shots then it was gone.
