Crummock Water

I must get back to posting Lake District scenes.  This is looking west.  I have parked here before but not when the rowan has had red berries, so Blip done.  Not a bad day as you can see.  I'm glad I journeyed as it isn't often you see a motorbike and side car and a fluffy Yorkshire Terrier retrieving a frisbee thrown by the sidecar passenger!  Tourists aplenty, some swimming, canoeing, walking: God love them! and sheep warming and scratching themselves on a stone wall.  Really cautious drivers too and me meeting the 77 bus at an awkward place! Oh yes, and a cyclist about to ascend Honister Pass from Borrowdale, whose cycling shirt was a Union Jack flag!  He was getting some training before cycling the Coast to Coast next week. A day of the unexpected.  One of the features of Lakeland are the Herdwick sheep who seem to know about cars.  They stay mainly to the edge of the road continuing what they are doing and the drivers pass them at a snail's pace!  Unless one decides to walk down the middle of the road and then a queue follows her until she decides the grass would be better!   You do see things.
What you don't see is the original version of this Blip. A family was looking at the scene before two took the plunge.  One of the tourists had an artificial leg; and a soaking wet dog who wasn't a good swimmer as I was told.  Moral of the story is 'Keep Looking, a good guide for taking photos too!'
Fell is local name for hill/mountain,
