Sunday...

A lovely day with weather being 'just right.' Warm with a bit of a breeze so it didn't ever feel too hot. I had a walk around Scout D & Royd Moor. This painted lady is my fav with a little ladybird in rosebay willow herb fluff in the extras.

Royd Moor Res - I like walking here, plants and such are mostly left alone to grow as they wish. There's been a bit of chopping lately but not everything at least. Today there were 6 men on 6 quad bikes making a massive, intrusive noise, tearing up the ground, delighting in scaring people/dogs out of their way. In other words - men who care nothing for what's around them and care only about themselves and their quad bike fun.

I don't think that's unfair.

If they cared, they would obviously not do this - have to open a gate to get the bikes in.

I chatted to a couple who have seen them before and who have rung the police on more than one occasion. Weekends & evenings seem to be when they turn up. The police have apparently been there on some evenings but haven't as yet seen them.

Two couples reported them to the police and so I felt I didn't need to, but definitely would in the future...So much damage to the environment & habitat here + pebble splattering cars in the little car park.
