Focus Peaking On Pine. Leitz Telyt-V 200mm
There's almost a hint of Fall in the air. As we were having breakfast on the balcony this lovely morning, I noticed the sun spotlighting a branch on our much-photographed pine tree. It turned into an exercise to see how well the Focus-Peaking function works. I took one image allowing the camera to highlight in blue the most in-focus parts. Then I magged the image in the viewfinder 5x, and again let the camera choose the most in-focus needles. Then I focused myself - with my aged eyes. The camera seemed to confirm what I considered accurately focused. The take-away? Focus-Peaking can be trusted about 95% without using the mag function.
