Field of ripening barley

I’m glad that this Ness-side farm has held on. They could have given up and taken the developer’s cash.  We used to walk on and around these fields with our faithful lurcher, dear Molly.  If every one of these fields now had lego houses instead of barley, I would have to cry.  But thankfully, as you can see, this is not the case.
