Heron
August already. How did that happen? It’s also the first Friday at home withTT, but also with BB. It it sure how my Fridays will go, now they are not my own!
I had a few work things to tidy up, before I did a few chores. I tried to get an appointment with my GP, but instead was referred to a clinic at our local hospital. I was told I would get an appointment in 48 hours. No one answered the phone. The recorded message told me their appointments were full, but to call back between 9am and 11:30. My calls were all around 10am!! I gave up and filled in the form on their website. This was less than straightforward as it didn’t work on any of my devices. I borrowed TT’s laptop in the end, then submitted it. It says you will be added to a waiting list. I doubt I will ever hear from them!
I then headed to the bakery, with TT who had never been before! We got some bread, and a couple of treats. He then wanted to head into town for a few things, so that is what we did. We also picked up some provisions for lunch.
After lunch TT headed into Edinburgh to go to a leaving event for a colleague. I almost dozed off, but persuaded BB to go out for a walk. He accompanied me reluctantly, but was fine once we were out.
I made a quick tea, which was timed perfectly for TT’s return home. TT and I then headed over to North Berwick to Fringe By The Sea. It was very busy. We had tickets for The Bluebells, who were playing in one of the smaller tents. They have just released their second album, forty years after their first album! They put on a great show, which we both really enjoyed. The beauty of FBTS, is there is just a short drive home. Perfect!
We spotted this heron on the weir this afternoon. The extras are two rubbish pics from tonight’s gig, and the heron picture I wanted to blip, but would not upload as my main image - a yawning heron.
