Hunting for bathroom tiles and other accessories

This morning we made good progress on our bathroom upgrade plans. First we chose, and then ordered, our tiles from Tile Star in Leith (highly recommended). Then we drove along the road to B&Q to research cupboards, mirrors and lighting. (We also called into a dedicated bathroom supplies shop on Seafield Road. We didn't stay long there because the one member of staff on duty made no attempt to leave his desk and ask us about our requirements.)

This afternoon, Mr hazelh added to the 3D visualisation of the bathroom-to-be on his computer using Blender software. Meanwhile I wrote a couple of letters, then gardened.

This evening we met Bruce, Elly, and Harry at Zest for a curry. Afterwards the five of us trooped down the road to the Royal Scots Club to see our friend Richard* in The children. He and the other two actors gave great performances. Indeed, they did especially well considering that theirs was an amateur production of the play. Some of their lines were particularly amusing because one of the characters was called Hazel and had a reputation for being super-organised ('You plan all your meals a week in advance!'**) and taking her exercise seriously.

I'd like to say that the tiles that I have blipped are the ones selected for our bathroom, but they are not. They're far too busy for such a small space.

*Richard plays the newsreader in the podcast series of Lorna Lloyd's Diary of the war.
**Of course, in this household it's a month in advance.

Exercise today: walking (13,105 steps).
