Same, But Different

In some ways it was just like so many Saturdays. 

Parkrun first thing. 

A quick shower (and second breakfast) then off to Glasgow by bus. 

An energy top-up at Taco Bell on Sauchiehall Street and then a train to Mount Florida. 

Coffee and cake at Govie's Coffee Club, and then round the corner to watch Queen's Park humiliate themselves at home to newly promoted Arbroath. 

A gloomy trudge homewards. 

But lots of little things were different - such as coffee and cake before the match instead of a beer at Clockwork or The Horseshoe. 

My run was the best it has been for ages - starting to see the benefit of the treatment to my leg and being able to put in regular workouts. 

And St Vincent Street (Blipped) was quite a bit different. All those New York City cabs lined up waiting for hires - part of the location for Spiderman filming which is taking place.
