Serious business!
Last year at Ardara Show, we had the best laugh at the Sheep Young Handlers classes where chaos ensued, so we made sure to go to see it again this year. In the junior class the judging took ages due to the amount entries & the judge taking time to ask the handler their name, breed of sheep, age & what they would be doing with it. Since it took so long at times the sheep got restless & broke free. Then in the senior class, he set them the challenge of letting all the sheep in the ring loose & then catching it, some required adult assistance. The classes generated so much interest & it was great to see how all the children were able to answer the judges questions. He told them, deciding on the winners was a real challenge for him.
The car in the extra, was on display, it has a tax disc that expired 31 October 1962 (before I was born). Taxed on 1 May 1962 for 6 months costing £8 & 3 shillings. I hope they don't get caught for no road tax!
