With these guests, they have mostly gone off to one of the Lake beaches around, while we stay behind and prepare the next meal, wash clothes, clean up, and so on. Today we had three extras for lunch, and the Brazilian food I'd prepared went down well. This afternoon, Mike has made pizza. It's gone eight pm, and we're awaiting a message to say they're leaving, so he can put them in the oven.

Got a worried message from friends, who'd heard about a terrible accident this morning, where six folk died - four of them Mouranenses, coming from Faro airport, having flown in from England, where they live. Mourão has declared two days of mourning, and all summer activities cancelled until Tuesday.
