Twenty Years On
From our twenty-fifth anniversary, when I was allowed to take Mrs B flying in the aircraft on which I was instructing at the time. It wasn't wasted taxpayers' money, as each pilot gets a certain number of hours per month for personal practice ("staff continuation training"). Mrs B could not be described as an enthusiastic passenger, but it was a historic moment for us nonetheless. And not repeatable . . .
EDIT: before we were married Mrs B got trips in a Nimrod, Jaguar, Hunter and various helicopters, including being dropped in a dinghy off the Scottish coast for practice rescue purposes.
