Underneath the arches

We made an early start for a walk through the woods along the brook, then around the lake.
As we went under the old rail viaduct J9 heard a buzzard and it was circling low so she stopped to watch it. The light through the trees was impossible to resist.
By the mill pond we watched a kingfisher doing its thing. Absolutely beautiful sight. I only had a 58mm lens but that was ok. It’s nice to just watch these things sometimes.
I had a chat with an old chap though who did have a zoom lens, and he was happy to oblige with a kingfisher extra he had just taken.
An all round lovely day.
