Not going out

I've been confined to quarters today; a delivery that needed signing for was due before 11:00. "That's okay" I thought, "I can head out this afternoon". And then the estimated delivery time slipped to between 11:00 and 15:38 (no idea why the end time was so specific). That meant that I couldn't head out, I couldn't even go into the garden because I can't hear anyone at the front door from there. I filled the time with reading and doing some domestics and then I turned to cooking. 

This is a Hot Pot-style dish; lamb chops, onion, garlic, a brunoise of carrot, spuds, rosemary, thyme, and stock. I cooked it low and slow, and finished it with chopped parsley - I do that if I have parsley, it's traditional and I deserve it.

The parcel arrived at 14:30. I'll try to get out & about tomorrow to find you some delectable blippage.
