Chasing the sunset.

Having moved inland from the west coast we are missing the sunsets. In Whitehaven the weather could have been pants all day (and often was) and then there would be a few minutes of an amazing sunset.
In Penrith looking west from the back garden I have seen the sky lighting up a couple of times this week. So in hope on Thursday we headed up to Rockcliffe to get a view west down the Eden before it joins the Esk  and forms the Solway.

Anyway after all that, it didn't really happen. The usual large bank of cloud scuppered the sunset but before it snuffed out the light I saw this cloud which resembled a chicken's claw and so I bagged it.
