Bookclub selection

The Borderlines Bookclub was taking place today. We had been reading Enlightenment by Sarah Perry. A sad story about lost opportunity for love in three timelines that are linked.  I always listen to books and always have trouble with the way this type of novel is put together.  I would have preferred three separate novels. I read this twice as our original Bookclub date was cancelled, and as I couldn’t remember anything about it by the second meeting I read it again. Usually the story comes back to ne as I read, but not this time. The only thing i remember now is the return of the comet first seen and identified in the earliest story and that’s not a spoiler. Well I don’t think it is :-)
