Granton and Wardie Bay

Pilates first thing. Afternoon walk by the Trinity path to the shoreline. We watched the tenders for the cruise ship which was anchored at Lima being buffeted by the stiff West wind on their way in and out of Newhaven harbour; it can't have been a comfortable ride, with whitecaps breaking on the boats. Saw a couple of terns slicing through the wind.

At Wardie there was a two person sailboard; the conditions were too gusty for the sailors, since they were sensibly keeping in the lee of the breakwater.  That bay is very shallow, so when it went in they could stand on the bottom to get it up again.

Up Wardie steps; two number 9 busses passed us; then a couple of minutes later a third one came along which we just caught.

The wind dropped somewhat in the evening and there was late sunshine.
