Rose in flat light
This morning I went to take the dog for his walk before work and the roses in my mother-in-law's garden were looking perky but in the gentle flat light they weren't overloaded with light. This one was at the back and I had to stand on the wall of the bed and lean over the rest of the plant to get at it. I think it's quite pleasing. They are mostly red as bud and early flowers but as they open the colour goes more peachy colour - it's a bit hard to described exactly what colour it is...
Work as dull again, but I fixed some code up and some code changes I made yesterday went into production so the business is happy with that. Ironically one of the changes I made today was a bad sort, which was interesting as that was an error that someone else made previously and I spotted in their code yesterday - today it was my time to trip up. I code change was made and the updated one went on to be tested.
I upgraded another computer today from Debian 12 to 13, but this one had a hiccup - the network cable was lose and some files didn't download, and the upgrade tool was forced into an error. It recovered but I had to force a few things to be corrected afterwards - which it should have done automatically. Overall though the upgrades have mostly gone without incident and the new version is surprisingly similar to the old one - a lot of code has changed but it looks, feels and works basically as it used to.
