Homeward Bound Jiggety Jig

More of a ploddety-plod than jiggety-jig.

Highlights of the day:
Minicab Driver to the airport - he was bloody excellent.  Coping with London transport every day must be exhausting, he handled it easily.  A real skill.
Getting airside in City Airport - scan your passport and you're there.  Painless.  There's a lot to be said for small airports and London City is small.
Clearing security - the bloke in front of me was wearing a long leather skirt, it wasn't a kilt because kilts don't have rivets and his skirt has 100s of them.  Ditto his shoes. Plus all his body jewellry.  This dude would never get through the metal detector in a month of Sundays.  Everyone on the security side looking at each other and their eyes said "What's the point?"
The Flight Attendant who tried to make the safety presentation fun - he did, goodness knows how because that material is as dry as dust.
The other Flight Attendant - the in-flight catering was as rubbish as always but I asked for a beer and was given 2.  That's never happened before.
The plane making up 30 minutes of delays and landing us on time.  The bus to the terminal was fine.
Baggage reclaim - easy peasy. Our luggage beat us there.  Picked it up and off to the car.
Straight through customs.  I now have lots of smuggled tea.  Tastes better when it's been smuggled.
Easy drive home - empty roads at 6pm.
And who hasn't turned to their partner and said "Caution your Blast".

The temperature here is rubbish - 32°C as we landed, it'll be a sticky night.

Oh and a shopping trick - when we bought the Ibuprofen gel for kids in Sainsbury's it was 8 pounds, in Boots in the airport 3.85.
