Oldest lady

in the Caledonian Macbrayne ferry fleet is MV Isle of Cumbrae built 1976 at Ailsa Shipbuilding of Troon (long gone). In 1977 she started on the route Largs to Cumbrae she was built for replacing and two landing craft 
 Island Class,types. Here she is at Largs back on that route in summer 2025 always a busy crossing. Many cyclists cross to circle the 10 mile route round the island, and many pedestrians heading to Millport the only town.
