Spice

It’s a little over two years since I last used this piece of public art as a blip. Given it offers sixty different items I could share with you, that feels like I’ve been quite restrained :-)

‘Song Tunnel’ by Adrian Riley features sixty popular songs with some connection to Leeds. It’s quite an eclectic selection, ranging from obscure indie stuff to more mainstream. ‘Say You’ll Be There’ belongs firmly in the latter camp, with the connection being that Spice Girl Mel B was born in Leeds.

A fair few of the songs have been vandalised or stolen, as they are just glued onto the tiles. Mel B is a survivor though.
