Daphne
..this is fuzzy because it was dark. Why do I forget to take photos in daylight? I’m putting it in because I want a record of when it started flowering. The scent is gorgeous.
I made a couple of cakes (extra) and yogurt this morning then we headed off to the physio for Bob’s appointment. We have Spencer’s car as it isn’t going very well and as he needs a reliable car to get to work has ours. Well we got onto the short stretch of highway near a park and the car was going so poorly we decided to stop in a parking bay. We tried to call a taxi but when you aren’t really sure of the address the AI can’t send a cab. So Bob decided to walk to the appointment and I decided to walk home. He turned around as he decided it was too far and wouldn’t get there in time.
That took a fair bit of time with little outcome. The old car is back here as Spence collected it and decided to leave it in town and not try drive home as he is in a village out of town. All a bit confusing.
I sat up last night and finished The Little Wartime Library which I really enjoyed (5 stars). The library was in the unused tunnel at Bethnal Green Tube station in London during the blitz. Strong women changing the normal way “things” were done, fitting into jobs they didn’t have prior to this time while the men were away overseas. It was based on true events and well worth a read if you like that sort of thing. They had beds for up to 5000 people down there, a doctor , cafe, and theatre holding 300. People felt safe.
More cleaning was done outside. I haven’t done much for a few years and it really needs it.
Happy International Cat Day to all the moggies. I hope you all get some treats.
