Childhood re-visited

A walk around Mesnes Park in Wigan today. My home town and the park was one of my childhood playgrounds. Now being completely restored at a cost of £8.1 Million. A fantastic amenity for Wiganers. Rubbing the foot of this bronze statue brings good luck it is said.
