The open window.

Whilst in the garden tidying I snapped this photo of one of our old windows. Inscribed on a pane of glass are names of the boys of the then owners when they went off to WW1. Quite clearly you can see their surname and 1914. I have no idea if they survived but let's hope so. A window with a little bit of history.
