Lorquin’s Admiral

Went on a loop around the Tualatin River Wildlife Refuge today. It was cooler weather and very pleasant. We saw a number of Blue Herons, a couple of Cooper’s Hawks, a Western Pond Turtle, nutria, and this little lovely.

Now that we’ve retired we are bird watching, as one should in retirement. We have decided that one pair of binoculars between the two of us isn’t enough.

Also, we need to learn more about ducks, there were so many different species.
