The Gill

Took M to Ulverston for stage one of his root canal treatment. 
I had a pleasant walk with Rob up Gill banks and beyond.  It was windy on the hill but the sun was warm. 
M was in the dentist for 1 and a half hours . I'd have freaked out. 
He thought it would be just 2 visits but as its the front tooth it's more complicated. He's a phase 2 appointment in 2 weeks and then there's another review visit mid Sept and another possible one in mid Oct if there's a problem.  
So regretfully we decided to postpone our holiday in the Yorkshire Dales till after the appointments...just in case.  Its not much fun for M at the moment as the temporary front tooth is very temporary which means soft food for quite a while and fingers crossed the tooth doesn't drop out.
I managed to book for 3 nights in late October.  The weather could still be ok then , hopefully good enough for some hill walks, but the nights will have drawn in by then. 
So, instead of only 3 weeks to wait I now have to wait 10 and a half. 
I shall plan some 'long days out' in the interim
