A family day

A great send off for my uncle, lots of family and friends to fill the church and a lovely service. The vicar had only been in post for 9 days, but we wouldn't have known if he hadn't told us - an ex-A&E surgeon and my sisters's former boss at the university chaplaincy. 

Then on to his local for a lovely spread of food and time to talk. It was lovely that many of his carers from the last few years also came.

The extras are my uncle in his navy days, he was a marine engineer and the beautiful lady he married from her days as a continuity announcer for the BBC World Service.
