South Downs walk

We took the car to Eastbourne for a service and set off for a 10 km hike to East Dean. We had a coffee stop in the Helen Garden before climbing up to where I took the blip, then headed inland across downs and fields. 
We came across a new art/poetry installation around a Dew pond. The 4 benches, all individually made and each on a compass position N, S, E and W - carved with poetry specially commissioned. Impossible to photograph but beautiful words and thoughts by Alina Hazadeh. If you are interested, do follow the link and read the inspiration and poem. 

A picnic and drink at the Tiger, bus back to Eastbourne, bit of shopping, picked up the car. Yoga this evening.
