Lancashire Watch Company

I am fond of this building.
It opened in 1889, producing watches in one building from start to finish, but it only operated for 22 years. It couldn’t compete with cheap American imports and the factory closed.
For nearly a century it operated as smaller business units & looked unloved, until a developer did an absolutely beautiful restoration and converted it to retirement apartments.
Which makes me happy.
