The straw horse

We had a few errands to run in nearby Kirkcudbright today. Afterwards, ice cream in hand, we strolled down to the harbour and found the Kirkcudbright straw horse back in residence. 

It is a large wicker horse sculpture created by artists Alex Rigg and Trevor Leat. Made of willow and designed to be an impressive, towering presence, particularly when illuminated.
