Stromness Pierhead
There appeared to be a mini exodus of Stromness today. To avoid the crush I walked from HQ around Swanbister Bay and up into the village. The Kirk café called; it was very busy. It’s such an asset and would be a real miss if it wasn’t there. I got the last table and Catherine served me with tea and lemon and poppy seed cake (coincidentally supplied by CMC). As I opened the Orcadian I was joined by Geordie, who claimed the table he had been seated at had become too noisy and fractious. After a thorough Parish briefing I walked home via the Bu, cut all of the grass and made stuffed peppers for tea. If only I behaved as impeccably every day.
