Falkland
It’s been a while since we have been to Falkland and I have no idea why not as it’s only 25 minutes away from us.
Last Wednesday it was the old village of Culross , maybe we are starting a theme.
The road up by the Bein In was closed so we had to go up the wee road up from Abernethy. We parked up in the car park at Pillars and walked through the beautiful woods of the Estate ending up at the Stables Cafe and craft shop for an iced latte and ice cream sitting out in the sun. It’s a busy wee place especially for ice cream on this warm day.
Walked into the village and there was filming taking place by an American clothing brand for their winter stock I would say as there was Christmas decorations and Christmas trees outside Helen’s Bakery and the Gift Shop.
We walked back to the car park and went and sat in the Strawberry Fields for a coffee and also got an egg mayo on focaccia and a slice of Victoria sponge both to share. Before that we had a look at their huge poly tunnels and the amount growing in there was impressive. It’s such a fabulous place and has really evolved over the years, adapting and growing.
Home around 3:30 and not much else apart from another walk later and a sit down to watch Destination X. Not sure how they will get on figuring out places as this was pretty easy from the start.
