A day that wasn't kind to me and remaining at home was more beneficial than taking photos. The idea was to visit Edinburgh/Culross for architecture and Fringe, but I couldn't get going, to tired.  I'll be back photographing tomorrow and at the weekend there is Maryport's 'Taste of the Sea' festival.
This one was taken yesterday at the Gatesgarth end of the lake with Haystacks in the background, the white hut, looking small and the path to Scarth Gap winding its way to Ennerdale -the next valley along. Clouds and tourists.  The day improved as Tryfan 46's photo of the other end of the lake shows.  For my worldwide friends: Alfred Wainwright was a walker and drawer of LD guidebooks whose ashes are spread over a tarn behind Haystacks.
