Miss Austen

We have been having a bit of a Jane binge. It started with 'Miss Austen', a series about Jane and her beloved sister Cassandra (who burned her letters). Then there was the documentary series 'Jane Austen: rise of a genius'. Now I'm re-reading 'Pride and Prejudice'.

We visited Winchester in 2014. Jane died here and was buried in the cathedral. The original inscription marking her grave mentioned her father, her personal qualities and the grief of her loved ones - but not her writing.
