The power of nature

There’s not much holding most eucalypts in the ground so a storm like we experienced last weekend will likely bring down a tree or two somewhere on the farm.
I found this one today on the front of the property near the junction of Megalong and Mitchell’s Creeks. I paced it out at nearly 40m tall with the main trunk being more than 30m. It’s only 10m off the public walking track through our farm so it’s lucky nobody was underneath it at the time (or I don’t think they were, I didn’t look very closely!!)
