Ryan and a Snake

Another day of meeting some Aussie wildlife at the "Billabong Sanctuary" which is literally the best zoo in the world. I got to cuddle a koala (aaawhhhhh!!!) and hold a (baby) crocodile, a snake, and a bearded dragon. There were also free roaming kangaroos which you could hand-feed, we got to feed a cassowary and various parrots and watch the crocs being fed (the most ridiculous thing to see, with the crocodiles jumping their whole body length straight upwards put of the water to reach the food). The keepers were brilliant with being so interactive with the animals, which made it a really memorable day.
Drove further South down the coast this evening, to where we are staying at Bowen. We met up with John's dad for dinner - he is brilliant, and a real Aussie Aussie.
