Fun in Fife
Today we crossed the water to sunny Fife for a fun day at the 2025 Pittenweem Art Festival. I drove our car on the outward journey. The four passengers were myself, Mr hazelh, Katharine and Jack. Meanwhile the Foxes travelled in their own car as a twosome with Mr Fox at the wheel.
We visited the exhibitions as couples, meeting at set times throughout the day to check on progress/seek refreshments. As well as viewing (most of) the art on display, we also enjoyed a private guided tour of Kellie Lodge (blipped). This is the new home of the Foxes' friends. (It was previously owned by the pioneer art therapist Joyce Laing, and the actor John Cairney before her.)
Our party made two purchases at the festival. Mr hazelh and I bought a small acrylic painting by Morag Muir, and Clarissa came home with a collage by Jo Foster.
Before heading back to Edinburgh, we travelled a little further east for dinner at the Anstruther fish restaurant. The restaurant was very busy with a 40 minute queue for a table, but everyone in our party agreed that our meals were well worth the wait. I returned to Edinburgh with the Foxes, while Mr hazelh drove back with Katharine and Jack.
My extra shows the happy six-some after supper at the harbour in Anstruther.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; walking (13,347 steps).
