Wednesday: Lily Pads

We went on a very enjoyable outing to Kew Gardens.  I think I may have been on a school trip but am not even sure about that, so, to all intents and purposes, it was first time either of us had ever been. It’s pretty poor that we’ve never been, given that we live relatively close by.

 We loved the Palm House, treetop walkway and, particularly the water lily house.  The weather was gorgeous and it was lovely to be out amongst the trees.

This evening we went for a lovely Indian meal, and have brought enough back home for a second dinner.

It’s been a most enjoyable birthday!  To add to our growing vinyl collection K has given me ‘Astral Weeks’, by Van Morrison, and a fabulous Cannonball Adderley album.
