Rosedale Heather
Richard was out at dialysis this afternoon. So Stephen and I opted for a walk that we can’t do with R. It followed the old ironworks railway line round the head of Rosedale. We then dropped into the valley bottom to enjoy refreshments at the popular Dalehead Tearooms. A large cycle group had arrived ahead of us. Always interesting to note the different bikes chosen by the riders. Stephen opted for a cream and jam scone whilst I couldn’t resist Yorkshire Brack and cheese.
Crossed the valley and then burnt off some of the calories consumed as we climbed out of the valley back to the car.
The extra is a selection of views from the walk.
Richard has a new robotic feeder Obi which will pick up food and raise it up to the level of his mouth. It will take some getting used to for us both. I need to see what foods are best and Richard needs to get used to tapping the control. It has to be taught the correct height to lift the spoon to but will scoop up the food and scrape excess off. An impressive bit of kit which will help R maintain independent feeding for longer.
