A little out of season

There is often a lone Pulsatilla or two flowering late summer/early autumn. This lone Pasqueflower, growing in my rockery, was just begging to have a picture on Blip.

It has been a lovely day, almost like summer again. With the schools going back next week the supermarkets are full of grey trousers, pinafores, white shirts, fancy lunch boxes and water bottles ... not forgetting pencils, felt pens and notebooks.
