In His Happy Place

I've introduced you to Jim before, he is a member of our Men's Shed. Most of the plumbing at the Shed was done by him and he even fitted the bath at my daughter's house in New Marske.

Today he came over to fit a new kitchen tap. Our old one had a defective valve that played a tune every time another tap was turned on or a WC was flushed! Jim had arrived on Monday with 9 different valves but when it was dismantled he'd never seen one like it in all his years. I'm sure he has not been a plumber for all his 74 years but I'm sure for most of it. 

Basically it was unserviceable. 

This morning he replaced the whole tap. I made sure the new one had metal valves. 

Talking of strange noises, during his visit I kept hearing an alarm sounding. Turns out he's no good at fixing defective hearing aids. It would drive me mad but he doesn't appear to hear it..!
