Out for lunch

A run out to our local corn mill this morning to pick up some bird seed and sunflower seed. Purchased a new wheelbarrow while we were there. A wet morning with a storm forecast to move in later today. Storm Floris.

 Sue had had to cancel this morning so we decided to have lunch out on our way home. We had chosen a new place called the Ring O Bells but on arrival we were told that no food was available because the storm had taken the power lines down. The change of plan lead us to what has been one of our favourite pubs for a long time. The Stanley in Aughton. It has changed hands and the new owners have added an ugly soviet style conservatory. The food was also terrible and the service very slow. Food probably straight off the Brakes wagon and into the microwave. We shan't be going back.

In the pic are a couple of snails enjoying a far better meal than we had. Snails love Hosta's.

Parts of the country have been hit very hard by the storm with Scotland taking the brunt of it.
