A' crabbing we will go
All they wanted to do was head straight for the floating pontoon on the river nearby, armed with little net bags weighted and baited with bread and cheese and a bit of ham, and spend the afternoon catching small crustaceans. Which were eventually returned to the water after spending perhaps too long in a bucket.
Other families with kids were doing the same this and random associations were made. The sun was hot but not overly so, and a cormorant watched us from the shore.
[Using the little bait bags made of ?nylon renders the whole process easier and safer than fixing a piece of bacon to a hook but I was somewhat concerned to see a gull swallow one whole when it floated away still loaded with bread. Surely making them out a biodegradeable material would be a good idea?]
