Dance Lane Nature

Nature Walk - it was the best thing my school offered me. I went to a small village school with just two classes, infants and juniors.

Very blustery here this afternoon but it stayed dry while I was out and the sun has been shining. I just love being outside, even a short walk has a positive effect on my mood. I’ve been doing the big Butterfly count and only managed to see three small whites this afternoon, one of which did its best to avoid my camera.  A small brown butterfly passed by but didn’t stay. Probably a meadow brown as they are the species I see down here.  

It’s amazing how quickly things have turned to seed.  It doesn’t seem two minutes since the Rosebay Willow-herb was coming into flower.
