The Bard in a Brisk Breeze

It was time for our annual trip with B to see The Lord Chamberlain’s Men perform Shakespeare at Holkham Hall.

As was traditional back in Shakespeare’s time, all the parts are played by men, including the female roles.

This is their 21st year touring around the UK with their stage set up and costumes and this year they gave us an excellent performance of Twelfth Night.

It was rather chilly due to a brisk North West wind. It did seem odd having to wear my winter walking clothes in August, but very necessary.
