Taste of Chicago

I lived in Chicago for 16 years. This week, I am visiting with my daughter, who purchased her wedding dress here and is getting her final fittings. Portillo’s is famous for their hot dogs, which are all beef and unavailable in New York State, where I currently live. The addition of hot sport peppers and the poppy seed bun are unique to Chicago.

It’s interesting being here after many years. I’m glad California didn’t have the dress she picked out.
